The La Serna Lancers will take on the Redondo Union Sea Hawks at 3:15 p.m. on Saturday. Both come into the game bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
La Serna is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Thursday. They put the hurt on Liberty with a sharp 16-6 win. Considering the Lancers have won ten matches by more than five runs this season, Thursday's blowout was nothing new.
Cann Puig was a major factor while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she pitched four innings while giving up just one earned run off two hits. She has been consistent: she hasn't given up more than one earned run in five consecutive appearances. She was also stellar in the batter's box, going a perfect 2-for-2 with one home run and three RBI.

Meanwhile, Redondo Union posted their closest victory since April 19, 2024 on Thursday. They won by a run and slipped past Yucaipa 2-1. Winning may never get old, but the Sea Hawks sure are getting used to it with their third in a row.
Bailey Murray spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered a run (which was unearned) on four hits and racked up seven Ks.
At the plate, Abby Luis was incredible, getting on base in all four of her plate appearances with one home run. The team also got some help courtesy of Kendra Mura, who went 1-for-3 with one home run.
Redondo Union lost a few balls and finished the game with two home runs. That's the most home runs they've managed all season.
Redondo Union pushed their record up to 19-6 with the win, which was their fifth straight at home. The home victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.4 runs on average over those games. As for La Serna, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 17-10.
La Serna couldn't quite finish off Redondo Union in their previous matchup back in March and fell 5-3. Can the Lancers avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
