Derek Chavera turned in yet another pitching appearance with fewer than one earned runs surrendered on Tuesday. He struck out eight batters over three innings while giving up no earned runs or hits (and not a single walk), good enough for us to rate the performance as the best he's had all season long. Those eight strikeouts gave him a new career-high.
