Rio Hondo Prep extended their road winning streak to nine games dating back to last season thanks to a huge performance from Noah Penunuri. The Kares strolled past the Thousand Oaks Lancers with points to spare on Friday, taking the game 50-34 for which the team can thank Penunuri, who rushed for 262 yards and three TDs while picking up 10.1 yards per carry. With that strong performance, he is now averaging an impressive 115.4 rushing yards per game.

Thousand Oaks lost despite a true team effort on offense. The best among them was Jackson Taylor, who threw for 345 yards and three touchdowns while completing 73.3% of his passes, and also punched in one rushing score. Jordan Johnson helped Taylor out on the ground, picking up 72 receiving yards and one score, while also rushing for 32 yards and one TD.

Rio Hondo Prep's victory bumped their record up to 11-0. As for Thousand Oaks, they moved to 8-3 with that defeat, which also ended their three-game winning streak.

Coming up, Rio Hondo Prep will welcome Troy at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. That game will pit two of the most dominant backs against one another: Penunuri and Ethan Mundt. Thousand Oaks does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
