On Monday, Chaminade Julienne Catholic needed a bit of extra time to put away Bishop Fenwick. They walked away with an 8-5 victory over the Falcons. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Eagles.
Aubrey Kolton was a major factor while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound, striking out 18 batters over nine innings while giving up five earned runs off four hits. Those hits were her first of the season. She was also solid in the batter's box, going 1-for-4 with one home run.
In other batting news, Mariem Mezni was incredible, firing off two home runs, three runs, and three RBI while going 2-for-4. Those two home runs gave her a new career-high. Calisse Russell also deserves some recognition as she snagged her first stolen base of the season.
Chaminade Julienne Catholic lost a few balls and finished the game with three home runs. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Bishop Fenwick didn't launched any home runs.
Meanwhile, it was close, but on Tuesday Archbishop McNicholas sidestepped Bishop Brossart for a 7-6 win.
The team relied heavily on Lucy Laudeman, who went 3-for-4 with one home run, three runs, and two RBI. The team also got some help courtesy of Grace Reuss, who scored two runs while going 2-for-4.
Chaminade Julienne Catholic's record is now 5-6. As for Archbishop McNicholas, the victory got them back to even at 3-3.
