Dalhart is on a three-game streak of home wins, while Bushland is on a three-game streak of away wins: one of those streaks is about to end. The Wolves will host the Falcons at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. The last five games Dalhart has played have been within two runs, so don't be surprised if it's a close one.
Last Friday, it was close, but Dalhart sidestepped Childress for a 14-13 victory. That's two games straight that the Wolves have won by just one run.

Hunter Trusler made a splash while hitting and pitching. He looked comfortable on the mound, striking out seven batters over four innings while giving up just two earned (and seven unearned) runs off six hits. Trusler was also stellar in the batter's box, going 3-for-4 with one home run, four runs, and five RBI. He is becoming a predictor of Dalhart's success: when he posts at least two runs the team is undefeated (and 5-8 when he doesn't).
In other batting news, Talon Garcia was incredible, scoring four runs and stealing two bases while going 3-for-4. He has become a key player for Dalhart: the team is undefeated when he posts at least two stolen bases, but 6-8 otherwise. Another player making a difference was Kevin Rios, who scored a run while going 3-for-5.
Dalhart always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .579. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.
Meanwhile, Bushland narrowly escaped with a win as the squad sidled past Childress 6-5. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Falcons have posted against the Bobcats since February 20, 2017.
Like Dalhart, Bushland also got a great game from a two-way player: Wade McConnell. He pitched two innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. McConnell has been consistent : he hasn't given up more than one walk in six consecutive appearances. He was also big at the plate, going 1-for-3 with one home run and two RBI.
In other batting news, Lincoln Krause was a standout: he went 2-for-3 with one triple and one RBI. Colton Reynolds was another key player, scoring a run and stealing a base while going 2-for-3.
Bushland is on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last nine matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 14-10 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.8 runs on average over those games. As for Dalhart, they now have a winning record of 9-8.
Dalhart came out on top in a nail-biter against Bushland in their previous matchup back in March, sneaking past 6-5. Will the Wolves repeat their success, or do the Falcons have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
