It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact the North Salem Vikings can now relate to. They were dealt a 35-0 loss at the hands of South Medford on Friday. North Salem was already down big by the end of the third quarter and they stayed that way after failing to score in the fourth.
Among those leading the charge was Kameron Rague, who rushed for 127 yards and two touchdowns while picking up 7.9 yards per carry. Ryder Scheid and his 114 yards on the ground were also a key factor in South Medford's victory.
North Salem's loss dropped their record down to 6-5. As for South Medford, they have been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five matches, which provided a nice bump to their 9-3 record this season.
North Salem does not have any more games scheduled as of now. South Medford will stay at home for another week and welcome Clackamas. Clackamas is coming into the game hot, having won their last three games.
