The Carmel Christian Cougars will challenge the Ambassador Christian School Lions at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Carmel Christian will aim to continue their three-game streak of scoring more runs each contest than the last.
Carmel Christian not only won on Friday, but they posted their biggest win since March 6th (when they won 26-2). They put the hurt on Combine Academy Global with a sharp 14-3 victory.

Drew Knowles was a major factor no matter where he played. He looked comfortable on the mound, tossing 3.1 innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. The dominant performance also gave him a new career-high in strikeouts (three). He was also solid in the batter's box, getting on base in all four of his plate appearances with one stolen base and one run.
In other batting news, Carson Russell was incredible, going 3-for-4 with four RBI, two runs, and one stolen base. That's the most runs he has posted since back in March. Nate Trunck was another key player, getting on base in three of his five plate appearances with two runs, two RBI, and one double.
Carmel Christian always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .556. They are a perfect 4-0 when they post an OBP of .513 or better.
Meanwhile, Ambassador Christian School entered their tilt with Corvian Community on Monday with two consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with three. They walked away with a 7-3 win over the Cardinals.
Like Carmel Christian, Ambassador Christian School also got a great game from a two-way player: Jacson Taplin. He pitched 3.1 innings while giving up no earned runs off two hits. Taplin also tossed no earned runs, which is notable because Ambassador Christian School is undefeated when he allows at most one earned run, but 6-11 otherwise. Taplin was also big at the plate, getting on base in three of his four plate appearances with one run and one RBI.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Casey Hahne, who got on base in all four of his plate appearances with two runs and one stolen base. Another player making a difference was Jax McCoy, who went 2-for-5 with two RBI and one run.
Ambassador Christian School's victory was their fourth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 10-11. The road wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 9.0 runs over those games. As for Carmel Christian, the victory got them back to even at 10-10-2.
Ambassador Christian School's pitching crew better be locked in on Tuesday. Carmel Christian hasn't had any problems when it comes to power this season, having averaged 0.7 home runs per game.
