Lincoln County dropped their record down to 3-2 on Friday, which also ended the team's three-game streak of wins. They fell just short of the Columbia Falls Wildcats by a score of 6-5. If the Lions were looking for revenge after losing 6-2 to the Wildcats when the teams met back in May of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

As for Columbia Falls, their win was their eighth straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 7-1. Those road victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.8 runs on average this season.

For Columbia Falls' part, they saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Wyatt Dodson, who went 2-for-3 with one run and one double. That double marked the first that Dodson has hit this season. Another was Jory Hill, who went 1-for-3 with two RBI.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Lincoln County will venture away from home to face off against Browning at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. The Lions are facing the Indians at the right time seeing as the Indians are stuck on a five-game losing streak. As for Columbia Falls, they will head out to take on Whitefish at 5:00 p.m. on Friday.
