With a playoff win on the line, Morrison rose to the challenge  on Thursday. They walked away with  a   6-1  victory over the Marengo Indians. Winning may never get old, but the Mustangs sure are getting used to it with their 17th in a row.
 Bella Duncan made a big impact while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound,   striking out 13 batters over  seven innings while giving up just one earned run off   two  hits (and only one walk). She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't  tossed less than 11  strikeouts in 18 consecutive appearances. She was also solid in the batter's box,  getting on base  in all four of her plate appearances with one  run, one  double,  and one  RBI.
 In other batting news,  the team  relied heavily on  Kiyah Wolber, who  went 2-for-3 with two  RBI, one  run,  and one  double.
Morrison's win was  their tenth straight at home, which  pushed their record up to 22-4. Those  home  victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.0 run on average over those games. As for Marengo, they moved to 27-10 with that  defeat, which also ended their five-game winning streak.
 Morrison didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next  matchup,  a  4-3  loss against North Boone on the 30th. Marengo does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
