The Levelland Lobos can now show off 19 landslide victories after their most recent match on Friday. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat Sweetwater 61-23 on the road. Given Levelland's advantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 85th, while Sweetwater is ranked 698th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
When it comes to explaining why Sweetwater lost, one person who can't be blamed is Kendall Daniel. Despite the final result, she scored three points along with eight rebounds and three steals.
Levelland pushed their record up to 25-2 with that win, which was their sixth straight on the road. As for Sweetwater, their defeat ended a four-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 14-9.
Levelland will take on Estacado at 6:15 p.m. on Tuesday. Estacado will be looking to extend their current six-game winning streak. As for Sweetwater, they will head out on the road to face off against Snyder at 6:15 p.m. on Tuesday. Hopefully Snyder focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 18 on Friday.
