If the MaxPreps state rankings hold true, the near future looks bright for Mashpee. They will challenge Coyle-Cassidy on the road at Hopewell Park at 7:00 PM on Friday. Both teams are strolling into their game after big wins in their previous games.
Everything went Mashpee's way against South Hadley last Friday as the squad secured a 48-8 win. The matchup was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 40-0.
Meanwhile, everything went Coyle-Cassidy's way against Bristol-Plymouth RVT as they made off with a 31-0 victory.
Their wins bumped Coyle-Cassidy to 3-0 and Mashpee to 2-0. In their win, Mashpee relied heavily on senior Devaun Ford, who rushed for 146 yards and 2 touchdowns. Coyle-Cassidy will need to find a way to minimize his impact if they want to win.
