Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only the North Forney Falcons walked away with it. They came out on top against Garland by a score of 28-21 on Friday. The win was just what North Forney needed coming off of a 31-10 defeat in their prior game.
North Forney got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Kellen Sanders out in front who rushed for 63 yards and a touchdown.
North Forney's victory bumped their record up to 9-2. As for Garland, their loss dropped their record down to 7-4.
North Forney will face off against Cedar Hill at TBD on Friday. Cedar Hill knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with flashy point totals in its past three matches -- so hopefully North Forney likes a good challenge. Garland does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
