Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Andrean). They blew past the South Bend St. Joseph Huskies 65-38 on Saturday. Maddie Walton was her usual excellent self, going 9 for 14 en route to 23 points and eight boards. Kate Sippel was another key player, going 5 of 7 on her way to 15 points.
Andrean smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 16 offensive rebounds. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as South Bend St. Joseph only pulled down seven offensive boards.
Despite the loss, South Bend St. Joseph still got an impressive performance from Kayla Woods, who posted 12 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Kenadie Schrock, who scored five points and three steals.
