After losing to the Orange Cove Titans the last time they met, the Exeter Monarchs decided to demonstrate that turnabout is fair play. Exeter strolled past Orange Cove with points to spare on Thursday, taking the game 53-35. The victory made it back-to-back wins for Exeter.
Exeter's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Blaine Mcfall led the charge by dropping a double-double on 16 points and 18 rebounds. Mcfall set a new season high mark in blocks with six. The team also got some help courtesy of Aden Plyman, who scored 20 points along with four steals.
Exeter has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 5-3 record this season. As for Orange Cove, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 4-8.
Exeter will head out on the road to face off against Non Varsity Tournament Opponent at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. Orange Cove won't have much time to rest: their next match is against Woodlake at 7:00 p.m. on December 15th.
