The Jackson Jaguars stacked a ninth blowout win onto their ever-increasing hoard on Saturday. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat Tri-Cities 87-47 on the road. The victory was nothing new for Jackson as they're now sitting on six straight.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Jackson to victory, but perhaps none more so than Taliah Cornish, who scored 22 points along with three steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Shakira Gresham, who dropped a double-double on 17 points and ten rebounds.
Despite the loss, Tri-Cities still got an impressive performance from Paris Shelton, who scored 23 points. Shelton continues to roll, besting her previous point total in each of the last four games she's played. Another player making a difference was Alyssia Bandele, who dropped a double-double on 12 points and ten rebounds.
Jackson pushed their record up to 13-1 with that victory, which was their 13th straight on the road dating back to last season. They've been dominating during the games in that stretch too, as they've won by an average of 39.23 points. As for Tri-Cities, their defeat dropped their record down to 7-7.
Jackson will be playing at home against Midtown at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Hopefully Midtown focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 12 last Tuesday. As for Tri-Cities, they will head out on the road to square off against Banneker at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Banneker will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Georgia Rankings (they are ranked 376th, while Tri-Cities is ranked 154th).
