After losing to the Bethesda-Chevy Chase Barons the last time they met, the Whitman Vikings decided to demonstrate that turnabout is fair play. Whitman secured a 58-53 W over Bethesda-Chevy Chase on Friday.
Whitman got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Thomas Farrell out in front who scored 15 points. Another player making a difference was Titian DeRosa, who scored 14 points along with three steals.
Whitman's win was their fifth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 9-3. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 70.0 points per game. As for Bethesda-Chevy Chase, their loss dropped their record down to 7-3.
Whitman will be playing at home against Gaithersburg at 7:15 p.m. on Tuesday. Gaithersburg will be looking to extend their current three-game winning streak. As for Bethesda-Chevy Chase, they will head out on the road to take on Wheaton at 7:15 p.m. on Tuesday. Wheaton will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Maryland Rankings (they are ranked 299th, while Bethesda-Chevy Chase is ranked 69th).
