Wylie East is a perfect 4-0 against Garland since March of 2023 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Tuesday. The Wylie East Raiders will square off against the Garland Owls at 12:30 p.m. Wylie East is coming into the game hot, having won their last five games.
Garland's hitters are going to have their work cut out for them on Tuesday: Wylie East hadn't allowed a single run the last three times they've hit the field. Wylie East's pitcher stepped up to hand Rowlett a 5-0 shutout on Monday.

Not much got past Isabella Flores, who gave up just two hits and racked up ten Ks to keep Rowlett off the board. The dominant performance gave Flores a new career-high in strikeouts.
At the plate, Wylie East saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Izzy Poovey, who scored a run while going 1-for-2.
Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Garland). They were the clear victor by a 22-0 margin over Lakeview Centennial on Monday. The team's explosion at the plate also rewarded the Owls with their most commanding win of the season.
Mady Key was a standout: she went a perfect 3-for-3 with one home run, six RBI, and two runs. Melody Alarcon was another key player, going a perfect 2-for-2 with one home run, three runs, and four RBI.
Garland kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 16 hits. That's a new trend for them: they were averaging 5.6 hits per game earlier this season, but in their last 15 matches they've averaged 13.8.
Wylie East pushed their record up to 12-7-1 with the victory, which was their fourth straight at home. Those victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 13.8 runs over those games. As for Garland, their record is now 9-3-1.
Tuesday's contest might come down to which pitcher can control the ball better. Wylie East has hit smart this season, having averaged an OBP of .438. However, it's not like Garland struggles in that department as they've averaged .524. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
Wylie East skirted past Garland 3-2 in their previous meeting back in April of 2024. Will Wylie East repeat their success, or does Garland have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
