It was a good run, but the Springport Spartans unfortunately witnessed the end of their three-game winning streak on Thursday. They took a 63-56 hit to the loss column at the hands of Bronson. The loss unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Springport in their matchups with Bronson: they've now lost seven in a row.
Springport lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Tucker Wiginton, who scored 18 points. Wiginton is on a roll when it comes to points, as he's now scored 15 or more in the last three games he's played. Another player making a difference was Braydon Hawes, who scored ten points along with five rebounds and two steals.
Bronson's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Kamron Brackett, who scored 15 points along with eight rebounds and four steals. As for Bronson, they will look to defend their home court on Friday against Maple Valley at 7:00 p.m. Maple Valley is coming into the match on a six-game losing streak.
