The Clarke County Bulldogs will head out on the road to face off against the Abbeville Yellowjackets at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. Both teams come into the matchup bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
Clarke County extended their postseason success on Saturday against Geneva County. They snuck past the Bulldogs with a 61-56 win. Having run the score up that high, both teams might be doing some extra defensive drills very soon.
Meanwhile, Abbeville had already won four in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 15.3 points), and they went ahead and made it five on Saturday. They walked away with a 53-46 win over Zion Chapel.
Clarke County's win bumped their record up to 13-17. As for Abbeville, their win was their eighth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 17-9-1.
