After a string of three wins, the First Baptist School Hurricanes's good fortune finally ran out on Saturday. They were the victim of a tough 69-49 defeat at the hands of Riverside.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Riverside to victory, but perhaps none more so than Elly Trickett, who scored 21 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Hannah Halt, who scored 10 points along with 8 assists and 3 steals.
First Baptist School's loss dropped their record down to 3-1. As for Riverside, the win makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 2-0.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. First Baptist School will take on Lowcountry Leadership at 6:15 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Riverside, they will be playing at home against Woodmont at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
