This season hasn't been kind to the Evans Trojans, who are still winless after their fourth game. They took a 42-38 hit to the loss column at the hands of Windermere. Evans was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Windermere apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in January.
Evans' lost on Thursday despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being JaKayla Slater, who scored 10 points along with 5 steals. Another player making a difference was Sylvia Rushing, who scored 14 points.
Evans' loss dropped their record down to 0-4. As for Windermere, the win got them back to even at 1-1.
Evans will head out on the road to face off against Lake Howell at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Windermere, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Horizon at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. Hopefully Horizon focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 26 on Friday.
