Make it six blowout wins for the Lakeside Knights this season. They blew past Timberline, posting a 96-38 victory on the road. Given Lakeside's advantage in MaxPreps' Idaho basketball rankings (they are ranked 31st, while Timberline is ranked 138th), the result on Saturday wasn't entirely unexpected.
Blaze Callahan was his usual excellent self, scoring 27 points along with five rebounds and four steals. That's the first time this season that he scored 15 or more points. Another player making a difference was Brutis Sijohn, who dropped a double-double on ten points and ten assists.
Lakeside pushed their record up to 7-1 with that victory, which was their eighth straight on the road dating back to last season. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 84.9 points per game. As for Timberline, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 2-8.
Lakeside will be playing at home against Genesis Prep Academy at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Timberline, they will head out on the road to square off against Deary at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday.
