The defeat unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Pine Ridge in their matchups with Lakota Tech: they've now lost six in a row.
Lakota Tech's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Shania Ferguson, who scored 23 points along with eight assists and four steals. It was the first time this season that Ferguson posted eight or more assists. Another player making a difference was Isabella Shangreaux, who scored 13 points along with eight rebounds and three steals.
Pine Ridge has been struggling recently as they've lost nine of their last ten matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-12 record this season. As for Lakota Tech, their victory bumped their record up to 6-11.
Pine Ridge will be staying on the road on Saturday to face off against Potter County co-op [Gettysburg/Hoven] at 5:30 p.m. on February 10th. As for Lakota Tech, they will square off against Crow Creek at 3:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
