The New Mexico School for the Deaf Roadrunners will head out on the road to take on the Chesterton Academy Saints at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. New Mexico School for the Deaf will be coming into the game with an undefeated record on the line.
In what's become a running theme this season, New Mexico School for the Deaf gave their fans yet another huge win last Thursday. They took their contest at home with ease, bagging a 71-31 win over Walatowa Charter. The match was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 38-12.
New Mexico School for the Deaf relied on the efforts of Tyler Todorovic, who shot 4-for-9 from deep and dropped a double-double on 28 points and ten rebounds, and Adrien Ercolino, who dropped a double-double on 21 points and 20 rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Todorovic has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Zion Holmes, who scored 11 points.
Meanwhile, Chesterton Academy came up short against Mountainair on Friday and fell 60-49. Chesterton Academy has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
New Mexico School for the Deaf pushed their record up to 7-0 with that win, which was their fourth straight at home. As for Chesterton Academy, their loss dropped their record down to 1-10.
New Mexico School for the Deaf didn't have too much breathing room in their contest against Chesterton Academy in their previous matchup back in February of 2023, but they still walked away with a 44-39 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for New Mexico School for the Deaf since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
