Even though Biggsville West Central has not done well against Annawan recently (they were 2-7 in their previous nine matchups), they didn't let the past get in their way on Monday. Biggsville West Central walked away with a 60-49 win over Annawan. The win was just what Biggsville West Central needed coming off of a 68-48 loss in their prior game.
Shelby Bowman continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines, scoring 39 points along with 9 rebounds and 5 steals. That makes it eight consecutive games in which she has scored at least 25% of Biggsville West Central's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Samantha Meyer, who scored 9 points along with 6 rebounds.
Meanwhile, Ridgewood [AlWood/Cambridge] didn't have too much trouble with Galva on the road on Wednesday as they won 47-31.
Biggsville West Central's win bumped their record up to 6-2. As for Ridgewood [AlWood/Cambridge], they now have a winning record of 5-4.
Biggsville West Central strolled past Ridgewood [AlWood/Cambridge] in their previous meeting back in February by a score of 50-34. The rematch might be a little tougher for Biggsville West Central since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
