Boonsboro and the Cougars are an even 5-5 against one another since December of 2016, but not for long. The Boonsboro Warriors will head out on the road to square off against the Catoctin Cougars at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.
Last Tuesday, Boonsboro was beaten by the Leopards 83-30. While losing is never fun, Boonsboro can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Maryland basketball rankings (they are ranked 253rd, while the Leopards are ranked 75th).
Meanwhile, Catoctin was the victim of a rough 77-51 loss at the hands of the Wildcats on Friday. Catoctin was down 58-38 at the end of the third quarter, and things only got worse from there.
Boonsboro has been struggling recently as they've lost eight of their last nine contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-14 record this season. As for Catoctin, their loss ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 5-11.
Boonsboro might still be hurting after the 81-61 loss they got from the Cougars when the teams last played back in January. Can Boonsboro avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
