Floresville is 3-0 against Pearsall since January of 2023, and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Tuesday. The Floresville Tigers will head out on the road to square off against the Pearsall Mavericks at 7:30 p.m. Hopefully Floresville focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 16 on Friday.
After soaring to 64 points the game before, Floresville were a bit more limited in their match. They took a hard 41-24 fall against Somerset. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Floresville has scored all season.
Ryland Parker put forth a good effort for the losing side as he scored 15 points along with two steals. Another player making a difference was Samuel Rodriguez, who scored seven points along with three steals.
Meanwhile, Pearsall's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Tuesday after their third straight defeat. They fell 60-49 to Somerset. The defeat unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Pearsall in their matchups with Somerset: they've now lost seven in a row.
Floresville's loss dropped their record down to 23-8. As for Pearsall, their loss dropped their record down to 17-17.
Floresville was able to grind out a solid victory over Pearsall in their previous matchup back in January, winning 44-32. The rematch might be a little tougher for Floresville since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
