The Bridgeport Bulldogs lost against the Shadyside Tigers back in December of 2023, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. Bridgeport was beaten by Shadyside 65-33. Bridgeport has not had much luck with Shadyside recently, as the team's come up short the last six times they've met.
Several Bulldogs players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Jaleel Vincent, who scored 12 points along with three steals. That was a full 36.4% of Bridgeport's points, marking the third time in a row he's earned more than a third of the team's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Coen Brinker, who scored ten points along with two steals.
Bridgeport's loss dropped their record down to 10-7. As for Shadyside, they have been performing well recently as they've won six of their last eight matches, which provided a massive bump to their 9-8 record this season.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Bridgeport will challenge Beallsville at 7:30 p.m. on Monday. Beallsville is out to stop a seven-game streak of losses at home. As for Shadyside, they will head out on the road to challenge Bellaire at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Bellaire has now lost eight straight, and the team is hunting for their first win since January 2.
