The Bonita Springs Bullsharks's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Thursday after their fourth straight loss. They took a serious blow against Neumann, falling 45-7. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Bonita Springs has scored all season.
Neumann had a senior duo take command as Sydney Martin scored 13 points along with seven rebounds and five steals and Sophia McCartney dropped a double-double on 12 points and 11 rebounds. McCartney has been hot recently, having posted eight or more rebounds the last six times she's played. Another player making a difference was Mylee Van de wouw, who scored six points along with eight rebounds and six assists.
Bonita Springs has been struggling recently, as they've lost seven of their last eight contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-12 record this season. As for Neumann, the victory makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 20-3.
Bonita Springs won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against Naples at 7:00 p.m. on January 26th. As for Neumann, they will head out on the road to square off against Bishop Verot at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
