After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Tocoi Creek, the Fernandina Beach Pirates were happy to have found some success on Wednesday. They enjoyed a cozy 32-18 victory over Baldwin. That's another feather in the cap for Fernandina Beach, who also won these teams' last head-to-head.
Among those leading the charge was Hadleigh White, who scored 14 points along with four steals. White is absolutely dominating the steal category: she's posted at least two every time she's taken the court this season. Savina Wells was another key contributor, scoring five points along with seven rebounds and three blocks.
Fernandina Beach's win bumped their record up to 4-5. As for Baldwin, they bumped their record down to 2-6 with that loss, which was their seventh straight on the road dating back to last season.
Fernandina Beach won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against Yulee at 6:00 p.m. on December 14th. Hopefully Yulee focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 20 last Saturday. Baldwin won't have much time to rest: their next match is against Hilliard at 6:00 p.m. on December 14th. Hilliard is coming into the contest on a six-game losing streak.
