McGill-Toolen extended their losing streak to three on Tuesday, dropping them down to 1-12. They lost 18-2 to the Baldwin County Tigers. If the Yellowjackets were looking for revenge after losing 15-0 to the Tigers when the teams met back in March of 2025, then they'll just have to keep looking.
McGill-Toolen saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Amelia Hanna, who went 2-for-3 with two RBI and one double. That double marked the first that Hanna has hit this season.
As for Baldwin County, the win (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 5-3. Their hitters stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most runs they've scored all season.
On Baldwin County's side, Nassar Brooks and Savannah Sharp made a splash no matter where they played. Throwing, Brooks pitched three innings while giving up just two earned runs off two hits. Meanwhile, Sharp tossed one inning while giving up no earned runs or hits. Brooks has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't given up more than two hits in four consecutive appearances. At bat, Brooks went 3-for-4 with four RBI, two runs, and one double, while Sharp went a perfect 4-for-4 with three runs, three RBI, and one double. Those four RBI gave Brooks a new career-high.
In other batting news, Addison Hadley was a standout: she went 3-for-4 with four runs, three RBI, and one stolen base. She continues to improve, besting her previous run total in each of the last three games she's played. Another player making a difference was Ryann Wallace, who went 3-for-4 with four RBI, one run, and one double.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. McGill-Toolen will welcome Theodore at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Baldwin County, they will square off against Gulf Shores at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Dolphins' pitching crew has only allowed 3.6 runs per game this season, so the Tigers' hitters will have their work cut out for them.
