Arcola strolled into their game on Thursday with a perfect record and they left with the same. They never let the Tri-County [Kansas/Shiloh/Oakland] Titans get on the board and left with a 21-0 win. The Purple Riders have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Titans, too.

Brody Phillips made a big impact while hitting and pitching. He looked comfortable on the mound, not allowing a single earned run and allowing only one hit while striking out six over four innings pitched. He has been consistent: he hasn't given up more than two walks in five consecutive appearances. He was also stellar in the batter's box, getting on base in all five of his plate appearances with one home run, six RBI, and three runs. The dominant performance also gave him a new career-high in hits (three).

In other batting news, Brevyn Whisman was incredible, firing off two home runs and eight RBI while getting on base in all five of his plate appearances. Those eight RBI gave him a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Tanner Thomas, who got on base in three of his five plate appearances with three runs, two RBI, and one double.

Arcola was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .423. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Tri-County [Kansas/Shiloh/Oakland] only posted a batting average of .214.

Arcola pushed their record up to 12-0 with the victory, which was their sixth straight on the road. Those road wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 13.7 runs over those games. As for Tri-County [Kansas/Shiloh/Oakland], their defeat dropped their record down to 4-10.
