Even though the Bellevue Eagles have not done well against the Archer City Wildcats recently (they were 0-4 in their previous four matchups), they didn't let the past get in their way on Tuesday. Bellevue blew past Archer City 64-36 at home. The win made it back-to-back wins for Bellevue.
Several Wildcats players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Malia Jones, who scored 8 points along with 5 rebounds. Serenity Jones was another key contributor, scoring 9 points along with 5 rebounds.
Bellevue now has a winning record of 2-1. As for Archer City, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-2.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Bellevue will square off against Hirschi at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Hirschi comes in on a streak of failing to score more than 24 points in their last five games, a trend the team is of course eager to reverse. As for Archer City, they will head out on the road to face off against Midway at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
