They came out on top in a nail-biter against Calumet Christian on Monday and snuck past 52-50. Lighthouse College Prep Academy found their leader in underclassman Derek Scott, Jr, who scored 18 points along with five steals. That makes it five consecutive games in which Scott, Jr has scored at least 25% of Lighthouse College Prep Academy's points. Another player making a difference was DeQuan Jones, who dropped a double-double on ten points and 12 rebounds.
Several Patriots players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Brad Nymeyer, who scored 18 points along with nine rebounds and five steals. Nymeyer scored a full 36% of Calumet Christian's points, the third time in a row he's earned more than a third of the team's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Kolton Foutz, who scored 12 points.
Lighthouse College Prep Academy's victory ended a nine-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 1-4. As for Calumet Christian, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 7-10.
