Glenmora came into Thursday's game looking for another win against Rapides, but Zayveian Johnson wouldn't allow it. The Mustangs snuck past the Wildcats with a 57-53 victory on Thursday for which the team can thank Johnson, who almost dropped a double-double with 27 points and nine rebounds. His big performance that evening made it eight games in a row in which he has scored at least 21 points.

Rapides has started the season off flawlessly and has a 2-0 record to show for it. Those wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they've averaged 58.5 points this season. As for Glenmora, they moved to 5-3 with that loss, which also ended their four-game winning streak.

Rapides and Glenmora will both get a bit of extra prep time before their next contests. The next time the Mustangs see the court they'll take on North Central at 7:00 p.m. on December 2. As for Glenmora, their break will end when they face Fairview at 7:00 p.m. on December 2.
