The Wayne Badgers's three-game losing streak came to an end on Friday. They breezed by Telos at home to the tune of 72-38. The matchup was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 34-13.
Wayne had a senior duo take command as Jake Batty scored 17 points along with 8 rebounds and 4 steals and Ryker Peterson scored 16 points. The contest was Batty's sixth in a row with at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Brayden Lee, who scored 8 points.
Wayne's victory bumped their record up to 2-4. As for Telos, they bumped their record down to 0-5 with that defeat, which was their fifth straight on the road.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Wayne will take on Green River at 7:30 p.m. on Saturday. As for Telos, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Escalante at 1:30 p.m. on Saturday.
