The Manassas Park Cougars are on the road again on Thursday and play against the Thomas Jefferson Science & Technology Colonials at 3:00 p.m. on December 28th. Manassas Park comes in on a streak of failing to score more than 25 points in their last four games, a trend the team is of course eager to reverse.
Last Wednesday, Manassas Park was beaten by Skyline 65-5.
Even though Thomas Jefferson Science & Technology has not done well against Yorktown recently (they were 0-3 in their previous three matchups), they didn't let the past get in their way last Friday. The stars were shining brightly for Thomas Jefferson Science & Technology in a 54-39 win over Yorktown. Thomas Jefferson Science & Technology's offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.
Thomas Jefferson Science & Technology can attribute much of their success to Helena Johnson, who scored nine points, and Kaiden Kerkulah, who dropped a double-double on 15 points and 16 rebounds. Those 15 points set a new season-high mark for her.
Manassas Park's defeat was their 17th straight on the road dating back to last season, which bumped their record down to 0-9. Those losses could be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they only averaged 18.5 points per game. As for Thomas Jefferson Science & Technology, the win got them back to even at 3-3.
