Cedaredge (Colo.) scored 20 points in the first quarter to secure a big 38-0 victory over Dolores (Colo.) on Saturday.
The Bruins scored three touchdowns on passing plays during the quarter, boosted by one reception by
Reid Gates.
Cedaredge was up 26-0 at the half after taking the lead on a
Dante Markley touchdown pass to Gates in the first quarter.
CHS expanded its lead to 38 points entering the fourth quarter. The Bruins scored two times in the third, including once on a touchdown run by
Carter Wasser.
Wasser played well for Cedaredge in the victory. The senior ran for two touchdowns and caught one touchdown. He has now scored four touchdowns on the season.
With the win CHS extended its winning streak to three games.
Dolores (1-2) will play a non-conference game against Paonia next week, while Cedaredge (3-1) will take on Hotchkiss in a 1A Western Slope game.
