Even though the Conway Tigers have not done well against the Myrtle Beach Seahawks recently (they were 2-7 in their previous nine matchups), they didn't let the past get in their way on Saturday. Conway walked away with a 37-29 win over Myrtle Beach. The win made it back-to-back wins for Conway.
Leading Conway to victory were Rebecca Hemingway and Dymond Bryant. Hemingway scored 12 points along with 7 rebounds, while Bryant scored 17 points. That makes it three consecutive games in which Hemingway has scored at least 25% of Conway's points.
Conway now has a winning record of 2-1. As for Myrtle Beach, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-1.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Conway will challenge Christian Academy at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in South Carolina (Christian Academy is ranked 56th, while Conway is ranked 75th). As for Myrtle Beach, they will head out on the road to face off against St. James at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
