The Holdenville Wolverines won the last time they faced the Prague Red Devils, and things went their way on Friday too. Holdenville walked away with a 57-45 victory over Prague. Given Holdenville's advantage in MaxPreps' Oklahoma basketball rankings (they are ranked 90th, while Prague is ranked 237th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Leading Holdenville to victory were Dah?myah Olden and Belle Mcfarland. Olden scored 16 points, while Mcfarland scored 21 points. Mcfarland is trending in the right direction, as she's improved her point production for three games straight. Cylee Null was another key contributor, scoring eight points.
The victory makes it two in a row for Holdenville and bumps their season record up to 14-4. As for Prague, they now have a losing record at 8-9.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Holdenville will take on Wewoka at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Hopefully Wewoka focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up nine on Friday. As for Prague, they will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against Seminole at 6:00 p.m. Seminole is no doubt hoping to put an end to a six-game streak of away losses.
