The Wooster Colts waltzed into their match on Monday with two straight wins but they left with three. They snuck past Hug with a 41-37 victory. That's another feather in the cap for Wooster, who also won these teams' last head-to-head.
Khloe Glover was her usual excellent self, scoring 22 points.
Despite the loss, Hug saw an underclassman step up: Cori Carrier scored 23 points. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Carrier has scored all season. Andrea Trujillo was another key contributor, scoring eight points.
Wooster's victory was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 6-10. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 51.0 points per game. As for Hug, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-15.
Wooster will head out on the road to challenge the Hawks at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are closely ranked in Nevada (Hug is ranked 89th, while the Colts are ranked 64th). As for Hug, they will be playing at home against the Colts at 6:00 p.m.
