Baseball Recap: Weatherford's Victory on Thursday Extends Winning Streak to Four

Weatherford won against Bishop McGuinness on Wednesday with eight runs and they decided to stick to that run total again on Thursday. The Eagles put the hurt on the Cache Bulldogs with a sharp 8-2 win. The Eagles might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won eight matches by six runs or more this season.

The victory (which was Weatherford's fourth in a row) raised their record to 10-9. Those wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 10.8 runs over those games. As for Cache, their loss ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 7-10.

Looking ahead, Weatherford will head out to face off against Kingfisher at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Cache, they will look to defend their home field on Friday against Altus at 5:00 p.m. Cache's pitchers better be ready for this one: Altus has averaged an impressive 7.2 runs per game this season.
