After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Carver, the Crisp County Cougars were happy to have found some success on Saturday. They walked away with a 65-53 victory over Turner County. For Crisp County, this counts as revenge for the 64-58 loss Turner County walked away with the last time they faced one another back in December of 2023.
Crisp County's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Jaylon Cooper, who scored 15 points. Zymarion Hudson was another key contributor, dropping a double-double on 11 points and 14 rebounds.
Crisp County now has a winning record of 7-6. As for Turner County, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 10-5.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Crisp County and Wilcox County will face off at 7:30 p.m. on January 16th without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. Wilcox County is hoping to put an end to a six-game streak of away losses. As for Turner County, they will be playing at home against Lanier County at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. One thing working in Lanier County's favor is that they have posted big point totals in their last five matchups.
