Lausanne Collegiate's loss shouldn't obscure the performances of Zuri Mcclure, who went 6 for 10 on his way to 14 points, and Marion Brewer, who went 5 of 9 en route to 11 points and six rebounds. That's the most points Brewer has posted since back in February of 2024. The team also got some help courtesy of Cailan Jackson, who posted six points.
Meanwhile, First Assembly Christian had to endure a seven-game losing streak, but that streak is no more. They came out on top in a nail-biter against Liberty Tech Magnet last Saturday, sneaking past 62-59. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory First Assembly Christian has posted since March 2, 2024.
First Assembly Christian's win came from a few key players Lausanne Collegiate will need to keep an eye on. One of the most notable was Landon Banks, who went 6 of 7 on his way to 17 points in addition to seven assists and six boards. The team also got some help courtesy of Kylan Alexander, who went 5 of 6 on his way to 16 points.
First Assembly Christian was working as a unit and finished the game with 12 assists. That's the most assists they've managed all season.
