The Seton Catholic Sentinels posted their closest victory yet this season on Friday. They narrowly escaped with a win as the team sidled past Arcadia 50-47. That's another feather in the cap for Seton Catholic, who also won these teams' last head-to-head.
Julian Garcia continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, dropping a double-double on 17 points and 12 rebounds. Another player making a difference was Kj Fauske, who scored 12 points.
Despite the loss, Arcadia still got an impressive performance from Braylen Rooney, who dropped a double-double on 18 points and 11 rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Rooney has scored all season. Nico Defalco was another key contributor, scoring nine points along with six rebounds.
Even though they lost, Arcadia smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with ten offensive rebounds. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Seton Catholic only pulled down three offensive rebounds.
Seton Catholic is on a roll lately: they've won nine of their last 11 games, which provided a nice bump to their 17-6 record this season. As for Arcadia, they now have a losing record at 10-11.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Seton Catholic will take on Mesquite at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Mesquite presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Seton Catholic in Arizona (Mesquite is ranked 19th, while Seton Catholic is ranked 62nd). As for Arcadia, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Saguaro at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
