Volleyball Recap: Central Wisconsin Christian Comes Up Short

Central Wisconsin Christian lost against Parkview back in September of 2023, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Crusaders fell just short of the Vikings by a score of 2-1. While the Crusaders didn't get the win, they did start the game off strong, beating the Vikings 25-11 in the first set.

Central Wisconsin Christian actually scored more points across those three sets (58-51), but sadly they still had to settle for second. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 11-25, 25-23, 15-10.

Despite the loss, Central Wisconsin Christian still got an impressive performance from Lauren Ruis, who had ten digs and one assist. Ruis has been hot, having posted ten or more digs the last six times she's played.

Central Wisconsin Christian now has a losing record of 1-2. As for Parkview, they moved to 2-1 with that win, which also ended their four-game losing streak.

Central Wisconsin Christian didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 2-0 victory against Gibraltar on the 29th. As for Parkview, they have also already played their next contest, a 2-0 loss against Wisconsin Heights on the 29th.
