Basketball Recap: Bethany Christian Takes Loss Despite Strong Efforts from Trey Caffee and Jacoby Reinhardt

Bethany Christian was the 47-33 winner over Prairie Heights when they last played one another back in January of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Bethany Christian Bruins fell to the Prairie Heights Panthers 60-56. The Bruins have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Bethany Christian's loss shouldn't obscure the performances of Jacoby Reinhardt, who posted 15 points in addition to eight rebounds and three steals, and Trey Caffee, who earned 19 points. Reinhardt has been hot recently, having also posted two or more blocks the last three times he's played. Another player making a difference was Jude Miller, who scored seven points.

Leading Prairie Heights to victory were Caston Day and Cade Bachelor. Day dropped a double-double on 13 points and 11 boards, while Bachelor went 7 of 11 en route to 18 points. That's the most points Bachelor has posted since back in February of 2024. Myles Edwards was another key player, putting up nine points.

Bethany Christian now has a losing record at 7-8. As for Prairie Heights, the victory snapped their losing streak at six games and leaves them with a 4-9 record.

Bethany Christian didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 76-39 win against Hamilton on the 25th. Prairie Heights has also already played their next contest, a 56-43 victory against Whitko on the 25th.
