The Sierra Vista Mountain Lions will venture away from home to  challenge the Centennial Bulldogs  at 6:00  p.m.  on Wednesday. Sierra Vista is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 4.9  goals per game  this season.
 Sierra Vista is coming in fresh off a high-stakes matchup with another  one of Nevada's top teams: Liberty, who was ranked second  in their home state at the time (Sierra Vista was ranked 12th). Sierra Vista came up short against  Liberty on Friday, falling  5-2. The  matchup was a  2-2 toss-up at halftime, but the Mountain Lions couldn't quite close it out.

 Meanwhile, Centennial kept a clean sheet against The Meadows School  on Thursday. They were the clear victor by  a  5-0 margin over the Mustangs. The  win made it back-to-back  victories for the Bulldogs.
 Centennial was without their leading scorer,  Josiah Martinez, in Thursday's   contest. With  Martinez sidelined,  Marcus Lara got his first action of the season. Lara made the most of the opportunity,  scoring  a goal. A few more games like that and  he might be seeing even more time going forward.
 The  loss snapped Sierra Vista's winning streak at six games  and leaves them with a 6-2 record. As for Centennial, their victory bumped their record up to 4-0-1.
 Sierra Vista skirted past Centennial  4-3 in their previous matchup  back in September of 2023. The rematch might be a little tougher for Sierra Vista since the  squad won't have the home-pitch advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
