Westran extended their winning streak to six on Thursday, bumping them up to 11-1. They walked away with a 59-52 victory over Christian Fellowship. The final result isn't all that surprising considering the Hornets' considerable advantage in MaxPreps' Missouri basketball rankings (they are ranked 76th, while Christian Fellowship are ranked 217th).

Westran's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Cruze Haynes led the charge by almost dropping a double-double with 21 points and nine rebounds. Another player making a difference was Hayden Chapman, who posted 11 points and three steals.

As for Christian Fellowship, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 7-3 record this season. The game marked their lowest-scoring contest so far this season.

Christian Fellowship lost despite a true team effort on offense. The best among them was Brett Conklin, who went 6-for-11 on his way to 16 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Jake Davis, who earned 15 points along with five assists and five boards.

Westran didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 64-58 win against Brunswick on the 10th. As for Christian Fellowship, they have also already played their next contest, a 54-49 victory against New Franklin on the 10th.
