Baseball Recap: Millbrook Wins Going Away Against Heritage

Millbrook lost a heartbreaker the last time they played Heritage, but it's fair to say they got their revenge given the result of Tuesday's game. The Millbrook Wildcats blew past the Heritage Huskies 8-2 on Tuesday. The result was nothing new for the Wildcats, who have now won four matches by six runs or more so far this season.

Conner Thomas made a splash while hitting and pitching. He looked comfortable on the mound, pitching five innings while giving up just one earned (and one unearned) run off three hits. Thomas was also stellar in the batter's box, scoring two runs while getting on base in all four of his plate appearances.

In other batting news, Jack Strom was excellent, going 2-for-4 with one triple, one run, and one double. That triple was his first of the season. Liam Clay was another key player, getting on base in all three of his plate appearances with one RBI.

Millbrook's record is now 8-1. As for Heritage, their loss dropped their record down to 4-4.

Coming up, Millbrook will head out on the road to take on Sanderson at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Millbrook is facing Sanderson at the right time seeing as Sanderson is stuck on a seven-game losing streak. As for Heritage, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Millbrook at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
